Chimney Fires
UK fire statistics show that every year over 30,000
houses
have chimney fires. This is due largely to
infrequent
sweeping, which results in a build up of
flammable tar within the appliance or flue. So it is
advisable to arrange a chimney sweep every year.
Inspections
If you use your fireplace, have just moved in or don’t know the last time your chimney was swept, then you should call us now.
It's advisable to have it swept and inspected twice a year due to blockages, birds nests-leaves, animals, deterioration and for the removal of soot and creosote.
Blockages of any kind can cause chimney fires and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Certified & Approved
After a chimney has been swept, the Chimney Sweep shall issue a NACS Certificate to the householder or property owner stating that a chimney has been swept in accordance with the Code of Practice issued by National Association of Chimney Sweeps. A date for subsequent re-sweeping should be recommended. Source: NACS
